About Us

The C.A.R.E. Foundation serves two functions, that of a Wildlife Sanctuary and that of an Educational Facility. Each of these has a specific set of goals.

As a Wildlife Sanctuary, The CARE Foundation:
  • Provides a safe and permanent home for non-domestic, non-releasable animals.
  • Provides a hands-on learning environment for those interested in careers in animal care.
  • Provides a resource center aiding those already faced with issues concerning captive wildlife.
  • Networks with other like-minded wildlife facilities to help place and care for exotic animals in need of a home.
  • When needed, aids Florida Fish and Wildlife and local Animal Control Agencies with Amnesty Programs, Confiscations, Relocations, and Emergency or Disaster Relief.

As an Educational Facility, The C.A.R.E Foundation:
  • Provides Educational Wildlife Programs for school children, civic groups, boys and girls clubs, tour groups and family functions.
  • Provides Educational Displays for corporate events, conventions, trade shows and community events.
  • Educates the public on current and proposed issues and regulations concerning the care of Captive Wildlife.
  • Educates the public on current conservation and environmental issues from habitat loss and climate change to specific issues concerning endangered and threatened species.
