EVENT INFORMATION (download event flyer here)
The CARE Foundation is a not-for-profit exotic animal rescue and wildlife education facility providing homes for over 200 animals in Apopka, Florida. Normally, we only offer private tours so this WILDLIFE WEEKEND is a great opportunity to see our facility and learn about our animals.
We will have volunteers available to answer questions about our animals. There will be several animal demonstrations and experiences. Limited petting, feeding and photo opportunities will also be available.
Food for the animals will be provided. No outside food, please.
Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.
Demonstration Schedule (each day)
10:30 AM – Homing Pigeon Flight
11:30 AM – Crocodile Snack Time
12:30 PM – Primate Training Demo
1:30 PM – Lion Play Time
Petting/Photo Opportunities throughout the day with our wolf hybrid, Burmese Python and skunk.
Our facility has limited parking available. With each pass, one vehicle will be allowed to park in our parking area, granting admission to a maximum of 6 adults/children per vehicle*. Parking passes must be pre-purchased prior to the event.
*personal vehicles only (no commercial vehicles permitted)
Our 10-acre facility is partially paved, but there are natural pathways to some of our animal enclosures that may be inaccessible to wheelchairs and electric scooters. To visit all of our animals, please be prepared to do a fair amount of walking and allow a minimum of two hours of time.
We recommend bringing bug-spray and wearing comfortable, closed-toe shoes for walking.
