Roughly 200 as of 2024! Hopefully more as we expand our sanctuary.
WHERE DO THE ANIMALS COME FROM?
Owners surrendering ex-pets. Or, confiscations by FWC, USDA, local animal services.
CAN YOUR ANIMALS BE RELEASED INTO THE WILD?
No. They've been deemed non-releasable by experts, and lack the skills to survive in the wild.
HAS ANY STAFF OR VOLUNTEER BEEN INJURED?
Yes…it comes with working closely with any animal, especially wild & abused ones.
WHAT IS A BIG CHALLENGE C.A.R.E FACES?
Handling abused or mistreated animals requires exceptional compassion, patience, and preparedness.
ARE THE ANIMALS FRIENDLY?
Not always. Some animals enjoy attention, while others prefer their space.
CAN YOU TAKE INJURED OR BABY WILD ANIMALS?
No, we collaborate with licensed rehabbers, but we don’t hold a license for that ourselves.
DO YOU ADOPT ANIMALS OUT TO THE PUBLIC?
No, we do not. Once we take an animal in, we provide it a safe and permanent home.
CAN I COME VISIT THE SANCTUARY?
Yes! We offer guided tours where you can learn about our animals, their stories, and our conservation efforts.
